RIDE & RAISE CANCELLED
Attention Riders: We were just notified that staffing shortages are preventing our food & beverage partner, New Holland Brewing Company, from catering the Ride & Raise fundraising event in Newaygo next Saturday. Unfortunately, scrambling to find a replacement on such short notice has proven to be very difficult and so we have made the decision to postpone this event until later this Fall.
Stay tuned for more information.
Cooler temps and beautiful fall colors on the Dragon await.

ALL ABOUT RIDE & RAISE
Fundraising Event
Help the Dragon Trail get funding to complete all 47 miles of the trail. The Dragon Trail is a non-motorized and multi-use looped trail system in the heart of the Mecosta and Newaygo counties. To achieve this, the Muskegon River Inn is hosting Ride & Raise, a fundraising event where visitors have the opportunity to enter a raffle where all proceeds go directly to the Dragon Trail renovation project.
To date, the trail has raised close to $1.5 million from corporate partners, grants, individual donors, etc. The overall fundraising goal is $3.7 million, which goes through the Fremont Area Community Foundation, and back into the Dragon Trail.Â
This renovation will add 10 miles by the end of the construction season, and has an overall goal to add 22 miles in the upcoming years. With an additional 22 miles comes spectacular water views and valleys, connecting to over 2,000 campsites and 4,000 acres of access to the Hardy Pond Reservoir. Additionally, it will make the Newaygo area a prime tourist destination and act as an economic driver for the region. The completion of the Dragon Trail is estimated to generate $4.15 million in economic activity annually, bring 100,00 visitors annually, and create 70 additional jobs.
